A  3-bedroom residence made of  Hempcrete, prefabricated timber trusses and exposed steel structure.

The energy-efficient home is designed to capture North solar gains onto sensitively placed concrete floors and internal hempcrete walls that serve as thermal mass, heating the house during cold winters.

The living areas are a single-room width which further improves the thermal efficiency of the house. High north glazing with appropriately designed extended eaves bring in winter sun while shading the home during summer. Operable, sliding screens at the western veranda provide further protection to the dwelling and outdoor dining area.
