Architecture and hands-on making have always been part of my life.
I am passionate about designing cost efficient and energy efficient homes and my portfolio of work is focused on rural homes and renovation, made of hempcrete, rammed earth, and various sustainable materials
Deeply drawn to the vast wilderness of the Australian bush, I relocated to rural North-Central Victoria in my twenties. While working in various Architectural Firms and Makers Workshops, I started exploring steel and aluminium fabrication, digital fabrication and installation, sculpture and furniture making. Whilst living in and renovating a derelict rammed earth home with reclaimed materials. I also worked alongside an owner-builder to design and build a rammed earth home in the bush. It was an invaluable experience that exposed me to an array of work of various craftsmen, gave me hands-on understanding of materials and making processes, and how to translate knowledge learnt in formal education to various real-world situations.
I completed my Masters Degree at the University of Melbourne and worked with various owner-builders in rural Central Victoria. Dealing with various rural issues and Bushfire attack level requirements. As a Project Architect, my work includes residential and commercial projects in Daylesford, Castlemaine, Newstead, Grampians, Malmsbury, Drummond North, Fitzroy, Carlton, St Kilda and beyond.
